A lockwood business is holding a benefit dinner for a family who lives in Emerald Hills whose home burned Wednesday morning. On Nov. 14 at 7pm, Oscars Bar & Casino is holding a potluck and silent auction with the proceeds going to help Toni and Stephen Spaulding and Joyce Colwell families.
Thier home caught fire of which fire officials said that it appears to have started in some wiring near the back deck area of the house. The fire caused about $400,000 worth of damage.
“They’re very good customers of mine, and I’ve known them for awhile” Said Todd Nelson, owner of Oscars Bar and Casino. “We found out about it real earl, before the papers and everthing came out. We just decided to ptu a little benefit on because it looks like they lost just about everything.”
The evening potluck dinner will be $10/person and of which there will also be a silent auction of items that were donated from the local community and members to help the occasion.
