Superintendent Novasio Resigns at Lockwood Schools

by Evelyn Pyburn

In a special meeting of the Lockwood School Board, Tuesday evening, trustees accepted the resignation of Lockwood’s School Superintendent Tobin Novasio.

His letter to the board explained that he was resigning as result of a “Convergence of different factors.” “I have been offered an opportunity that will benefit my family, personal wellness and future professional goals.” His last day at Lockwood will be July 1.

Novasio is accepting a position as Superintendent at Hardin.  The Big Horn County News reported last Thursday that the Hardin School District board named Novasio as their top choice from among six candidates. They offered him a two-year contract with a $138,000 salary.
